The Shunpike Road estate in Millbrook, New York, sold for $10.45 million, marking the highest transaction in the local post office area in over two years. The sale also ranks as the third most expensive property sale in Millbrook history, according to the realtors involved.

The property spans 197.51 acres in Dutchess County. Its centerpiece is an 8,244-square-foot Greek Revival mansion built in 1830. The structure features double-height Corinthian columns. A previous owner relocated the house approximately 40 miles from the town of Hudson to its current site in 1989. That owner subsequently renovated the building piece by piece.

Blaine Trump and his brother Robert purchased the estate in 1992. Architectural Digest reported in 1997 that the brothers were seeking "land, lots of land, and a country house" in the region. The final sale price exceeded the $8.8 million list price. The listing agents stated that the higher figure resulted from the inclusion of an extra adjacent parcel that was not part of the original listing.

The estate, marketed as the Linley House Estate, includes more than 113 pastoral acres across three parcels. The main residence contains eight bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, and two half baths. Interior features include a chef’s kitchen and a family room with a wood-burning fireplace. The primary suite offers two walk-in closets and dual en-suite baths, while guest rooms have private bathrooms.

Recreational amenities on the grounds include a heated Gunite pool, tennis and basketball courts, and a fitness center. The property also features a 16-seat movie theater with a concession stand and a party barn. The listing highlighted newly cleared view sites and meandering trails that offer sightlines to the Catskills and the Hudson Valley.

Michael Passaro of Douglas Elliman and Andrew Gates of Houlihan Lawrence represented the Trump family during the transaction. The closing finalizes the transfer of the historic property to new ownership.

The sale concludes a period of ownership that began in the early 1990s. The transaction stands as the most valuable in the immediate area since late 2023.
