The Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 16 is a Dual Screen beast with Ryzen 9 6900HX processor, 64GB RAM and 3070Ti.

The display panel is a 16” QHD+ 165Hz display. The 2K display is extremely smooth and very satisfying to use. This laptop can support not just ultimate level productivity but also is monstrous enough to perform top-notch in gaming.

The secondary display is also QHD+ and is positioned above the keyboard. The secondary display automatically lifts itself. The storage is 2TB SSD, where there are 2 NVMe SSDs.

The keyboard is fully backlit with per-key RGB. Although it is a chiclet keyboard, the typing feel is extremely good. When we were using it, the keyboard feedback was tactile and the key travel is pretty decent.

The touchpad comes with a switchable touch-enabled Numpad. The touchpad is a little small, and only for right-handed touch users. The touchpad is however smooth to use and the touch-featured Numpad is also very responsive.

The build is of metal and is pretty sturdy. The weight distribution is also very good and is easily openable by one hand. The secondary screen lift is automatic and very smooth. We also checked for the screen wobble, and it’s not that much. The top lid and keyboard flex is also negligible. It comes with a 90WHr battery. We tested it, running day-to-day tasks such as word processor, and web browser; it gave a battery backup of more than 6 hours.

Now, coming to high-end tasks, this laptop performed exceptionally well in CFD simulation, 4 video rendering and 3D model rendering.

This Asus Zenbook Pro Duo 15 is a monster powered by an i9 12th Gen processor, paired with an RTX 3060 and comes with 32GB of Memory.

The display is a 4K display of 60Hz. But what makes it special is that it supports a touchscreen feature and is an OLED display panel. That’s not enough to make it special? Well, how about the dual display? This laptop comes with a secondary display positioned right above the keyboard.

Both the displays are touchscreen and also supports Active Pen. It comes with 2TB SSD storage which is adequate, and it is very fast, thus providing significantly less startup time.

The keyboard gave an exceptional typing feel when we were using it. It has a white backlight. And to make things fancy and compact, the Numpad comes with a touch feature built into the touchpad. The touchpad is positioned to the right of the keyboard and has a Numpad icon on it, which on tapping illuminates the touchpad with the Numpad.

The touchpad is however small, as half of the body is occupied by the secondary display leaving no space for the touchpad below the keyboard.

The build is of full metal build and there is no top lid or keyboard flex, so we can conclude that the build of the laptop is solid. It comes with a 92WHr battery. According to our test, under web browsing, and watching videos, it gave a battery backup of more than 7 hours which is impressive for a workstation this powerful.

Now coming to running high-end tasks, we conducted CFD simulation, 4K video rendering, and 3D model rendering, and the results were absolutely amazing. The time taken for each and every task, and the performance output were phenomenal. Heavy tasks cause the laptop to heat up, but that is normal for a machine like this.

However, to aid the temperatures, and for better thermals, this laptop provides ergo-lift hinges, which raises the laptop while in use, increasing the gap between the bottom of the laptop and the surface. This laptop also supports Windows Hello as it comes with an HD IR webcam.

It also comes with a fingerprint sensor which is pretty fast to use and comes in handy to quickly unlock your device.

The battery life on this laptop is decent. We cannot really claim an outstanding battery backup but the battery backup is more than enough for the specifications offered, especially as this is a laptop more performance-centric than portability. In our testing, with daily tasks such as typing, browsing and watching videos, it gave a battery backup of 6+ hours.

Talking about performance, this is a heavy workstation and that’s exactly how it performed in our tests. Firstly, we went with 4k Video Rendering, and the results were splendid. It took around 5 minutes to render the video. The 3D model rendering and CFD simulation results too came out marvellous. To sum it up, it is a good choice for CFD Simulation as it comes with sufficient power and robust build and good battery life.

CPUApple M2 Chip
Storage256GB SSD

MacBooks need no introduction. The name only says it all. The all-new MacBook Pro 2022 edition, powered by the M2 chip which succeeds the M1 chip is an absolute beast. It doesn’t just dominate in performance, but it also dominates thermals and battery life.

The keyboard is great! Just like the standard MacBook keyboards. The touchpad as usual on MacBooks covers a large area and provides a smooth user experience. On the top portion of the keyboard comes the MacBook Pro’s Touch Bar. The speakers are not bad and provide decent loudness.

The battery in MacBook has always been the feature making them shine among all other laptops. The MacBook Pro M2 comes with a battery that under moderate usage in our testing has given more than 18 hours of battery backup. We ran the usual tests that we run, like CFD Simulation, 4K editing and 3D model rendering, and just as expected, super-fast processing speeds in each and every test, and still maintaining very good temperatures. The laptop is built completely with metal and the weight distribution is perfectly balanced. The total weight of the laptop is 1.4kg.

It is a great choice for both portability and productivity.

In our testing, the battery backup at 60% screen brightness and performing normal day-to-day tasks, gives about 7-8 hours of battery backup which is more than enough for a workstation with such intense hardware. The sound is loud, crisp and clear and

After running some tests on this laptop of 3D model rendering, CFD Simulation, 4k Editing, etc, the results were not something mind-blowing, but they were up to the mark and slightly above expectations. The price is justified by the performance offered.
