Lionel Messi will play in his final regular-season home match in Massachusetts on November 1.

The New England Revolution hosts Inter Miami at 7:00 p.m. at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough. This contest marks the last home game for the Revs before the MLS playoffs. It may also be Messi's final appearance in the state after he stepped away from the Argentine national team.

Messi announced his retirement from the national squad on August 31. He played his last international match against Benin in Buenos Aires on October 6. He remains a central figure for Inter Miami this season. The Argentine forward has recorded 25 goals and 14 assists in 27 matches. His contract with the club runs through the 2028 season.

The two teams are separated by three points in the Eastern Conference standings. Inter Miami holds second place with 55 points following games played on October 17. The Revolution sits third with 52 points. The Revs returned to the playoffs for the first time since 2023 in mid-October. The standings could shift before the matchup. New England travels to play the Philadelphia Union on Saturday prior to hosting Miami.

The teams met earlier this year in April at Inter Miami's home venue. The match ended in a 1-1 draw. Carles Gil scored for New England. Germán Berterame equalized for Inter Miami. Messi's previous visit to Foxborough drew a record crowd. On April 20, 2024, 65,612 fans watched him score two goals in a 4-1 win for Miami.

Inter Miami fields other key players for the trip. Rodrigo de Paul and Casemiro are part of the roster. Casemiro will visit Foxborough for the first time since joining Major League Soccer. Coaches will announce starting lineups closer to match day.

Tickets are available online at revolutionsoccer.net/tickets or by calling 1-877-GET-REVS. Fans can also take a special train to avoid traffic. Seats on the train are limited and require advance purchase.
