Hallmark’s Mistletoe Murders is returning for a third season of Christmas-themed mysteries, premiering on television before it reaches the streaming platform where its previous installments found a massive audience. The series, which features Sarah Drew and Peter Mooney, will air its new episodes on Hallmark Channel starting next week.

The new season begins on Thursday, Nov. 5, at 8 p.m. ET. New episodes will air weekly on Thursdays through Dec. 10. This broadcast schedule differs from the recent trend for the show, as the first two seasons arrived on Netflix on Nov. 1, 2025, and quickly became some of the most popular titles on the platform.

Season 3 will not be available to stream on Netflix at its premiere. The network has not yet confirmed a specific release date for the new episodes on the streaming service. If the timeline mirrors the previous two seasons, which landed on Netflix roughly a year after their 2025 Hallmark debut, the third season could arrive in time for the 2027 holiday season.

The series is based on Ken Cuperus’ Audible Original. It stars Drew as Emily Lane, the owner of a Christmas gift shop called Under the Mistletoe in the fictional town of Fletcher’s Grove, New York. The character has a hidden past that threatens to surface as she investigates local murders. Mooney plays Detective Sam Wilner, a police officer who grows curious about Lane’s secrets while they work together. The two develop a connection complicated by the information Lane is withholding.

Catherine Bell, known for her role in Good Witch, will guest-star in the first two episodes of the new season. She plays the wife of a Christmas chairman. Showrunner Ken Cuperus stated that her character may have secrets of her own, adding a layer of mystery to the early episodes.

For viewers who prefer to stream the show rather than watch live television, new episodes will be available on Hallmark+ the day after they air on Hallmark Channel. This means the first episode will be on Hallmark+ on Friday, Nov. 6, at 12 a.m. ET, and the final episode on Dec. 11. Viewers can also catch up on the first two seasons, which are currently streaming on both Netflix and Hallmark+.

Those without a cable subscription can watch Hallmark Channel live through a live TV streaming service. DIRECTV offers a five-day free trial before payment begins, with plans starting at $49.99 per month. Hallmark+ is offering new subscribers via Prime Video a rate of $1 per month for the first two months. Netflix subscription plans range from $7.99 per month for standard with ads to $24.99 per month for unlimited ad-free streaming in 4K UHD quality.

The full release schedule for Season 3 is as follows: Episode 1 airs Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. ET, Episode 2 airs Nov. 12 at 8 p.m. ET, Episode 3 airs Nov. 19 at 8 p.m. ET, Episode 4 airs Nov. 26 at 10 p.m. ET, Episode 5 airs Dec. 3 at 8 p.m. ET, and Episode 6 airs Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. ET.
