Supplemental Security Income recipients will not see a new deposit in their bank accounts in November 2026. The Social Security Administration moved the payment forward to Friday, October 30, because November 1 is a Sunday. This is a calendar adjustment, not a cut to benefits.

SSI payments usually arrive on the first of every month. When that date lands on a weekend or federal holiday, the agency sends the check on the last business day before. That rule created two payment dates in October. The first was October 1, for that month. The second was October 30, covering November. The second check was not a bonus. It was simply the November payment sent early.

The next regular SSI payment is scheduled for Tuesday, December 1. Beneficiaries do not lose their assistance during November. The money for that month just arrived a week early. MySA reports that more than 500,000 Texans receive SSI. The schedule change applies to all states because it follows the federal calendar.

Payment amounts vary based on income, housing costs, and resources. For 2026, the maximum federal monthly benefit is $994 for an eligible individual. A married couple where both spouses qualify can receive up to $1,491. There is a separate maximum of $498 for the essential person category. Some recipients get less than these caps based on other income.

Recipients who also collect Social Security retirement benefits should watch for two different dates. The early SSI payment arrived on October 30. The retirement benefit follows its own schedule and is due on November 3. The two programs run on separate timelines.

Beneficiaries can expect a 3.6% cost-of-living adjustment starting in 2027. The new maximums will be $1,029 for individuals, $1,544 for couples, and $516 for essential persons. The first payment with this higher amount will go out on Thursday, December 31, 2026. The agency confirmed this date applies to approximately 7.3 million SSI beneficiaries.

The November advance keeps the 2026 dollar amounts. It does not include the upcoming increase. The next check on December 1 will also use 2026 rates. The jump to higher payments begins with the December 31 deposit.
