The Colorado High School Activities Association published the regional brackets for the 2026 Class 5A girls volleyball season on Monday. The association scheduled twelve three-team tournaments to conclude on Saturday, November 7. Each event will determine a single team to advance to the state championship. The state tournament is set for November 12 through 14 at the Denver Coliseum.
The brackets pair teams based on their current standing and win-loss records. Most of the twelve sites will host matches starting at 10 a.m. local time. Subsequent matches will begin immediately after the previous game concludes. Three of the regional sites, including Chaparral, Cherry Creek, and Rock Canyon, have yet to confirm their specific start times.
Aurora schools are represented in four of the twelve regions. Eaglecrest, currently ranked 36th with a 7-16 record, will face No. 1 Legend and No. 24 Denver East at Legend High School. Grandview, ranked 22nd at 13-10, and Vista Peak Prep, ranked 34th at 13-10, are in Region 3 at Mountain Vista High School. They will play No. 3 Mountain Vista, who hold a 19-4 record. Cherokee Trail, ranked 17th at 15-8, is in Region 8 at Arvada West High School. Regis Jesuit, ranked 12th at 15-7, will host Region 12 against No. 13 Castle View and No. 25 Doherty.
Top-seeded teams dominate the remaining brackets. No. 2 Valor Christian, with a 20-3 record, will host No. 23 Denver South and No. 35 Fort Collins at Valor Christian High School. No. 4 Chaparral, at 17-6, plays in their own gym alongside No. 21 Northfield and No. 33 Westminster. No. 5 Fossil Ridge, at 19-4, faces No. 32 Riverdale Ridge, also at 19-4, and No. 20 Chatfield in Region 5. No. 6 Lutheran, at 19-4, is in Region 6 against No. 19 Pine Creek and No. 31 Erie.
Other high-ranked teams include No. 7 Rocky Mountain, at 19-4, who will play No. 18 Fountain-Fort Carson and No. 30 Grand Junction. No. 8 Arvada West, at 19-4, is in the same region as Cherokee Trail. No. 9 Cherry Creek, at 16-7, faces No. 16 Ralston Valley and No. 28 Centaurus. No. 10 Heritage, at 17-5, plays No. 15 Legacy and No. 27 Columbine in Region 10. No. 11 Rock Canyon, at 13-10, is in Region 11 with No. 14 Broomfield and No. 26 Douglas County.
The tournament format requires each team to play the other two teams in their specific region. The team with the best performance in those matches earns the slot for the state tournament. The association released these details to allow teams to prepare for the final phase of the season. The Denver Coliseum will host the state event later next month.
