Amanda Serrano holds 32 knockout victories in her professional record. She plans to add to that total in a final bout before retiring from boxing.

Most Valuable Promotions announced the details of the upcoming fight on Tuesday. Serrano will defend her unified WBO and WBA featherweight world titles against Skye Falzon. The event is scheduled for January 9, 2027, at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan. The promotion has named the event The Last Walk.

Serrano is 38 years old and currently shares the all-time women's knockout record with Christy Martin. She is the only undisputed boxing champion from Puerto Rico. Her overall record stands at 50 wins, four losses, and one draw.

The Australian challenger, Falzon, is also 38 years old. She carries a record of 12 wins and two losses, with seven of those victories coming by knockout.

Serrano spoke about her career in a statement. She noted that boxing has been her life and that she never imagined the journey it would take her and her family on. She recalled the early days when women's boxing was fought in small theatre shows. She contrasted that with the current reality of headlining Madison Square Garden in New York. Serrano said she was proud of helping open doors for the next generation of female fighters.

Her rivalry with Katie Taylor was the highest profile in women's boxing. The two fighters produced a trilogy of bouts. Taylor won the series, taking the third meeting by majority decision in 2025. Serrano and Taylor became the first women to headline Madison Square Garden in 2022.

Serrano holds a Guinness World Record for winning titles across seven weight divisions. In 2023, she fought in the first women's unified world championship bout contested over 12 three-minute rounds. She later vacated her WBC title rather than abandon her commitment to equal rules. Nakisa Bidarian and Jake Paul, founders of Most Valuable Promotions, called the event a celebration of an athlete who changed the sport forever.

The promoters said the January 9 fight would mark the end of her career inside the ring. They stated that her legacy would live on through every female fighter who follows her.
