More than 350 business leaders, investors, and entrepreneurs will arrive in Tel Aviv for a three-day summit scheduled for November 1 through 3. The event, titled Shaping Our Future Together, is the first Taglit Global Business Summit hosted by Birthright Israel. It will take place at the Hilton Tel Aviv and is designed to connect international donors and executives with Israeli companies and communities.
The organization established its program in 1999. Since that time, nearly one million young Jewish adults from 70 countries have participated in its ten-day educational trips. Birthright Israel states that these activities have contributed approximately $2.6 billion to the Israeli economy through travel, accommodation, and local spending. The new summit expands this model to target established business professionals rather than first-time visitors.
Over 100 attendees will travel from outside Israel. They represent 15 countries, including Argentina, Australia, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates. These international participants will join local executives from major firms such as NVIDIA, Wiz, Elbit Systems, El Al, and monday.com. The gathering aims to leverage the existing network of supporters to create new commercial partnerships and philanthropic initiatives.
Notable figures confirmed for the program include Dr. Miriam Adelson, a physician and media publisher. Meir Shamir, chairman of the Israeli Board of Donors, and Josh Nash, international chairman and managing member of Ulysses Management, are also expected to participate. President Isaac Herzog is scheduled to address the group during the opening gala on November 1.
The second day of the summit, November 2, will feature a series of speakers from technology, finance, and public life. The lineup includes Sir Ronald Cohen, co-founder of Apax Partners; Eyal Waldman, founder of Mellanox; and Yinon Costica, co-founder of Wiz. Sean Rad, founder of Tinder and a Birthright alumnus, will also speak. The program includes former Mossad director Yossi Cohen and former Microsoft Israel CEO Shelly Landsmann.
Two participants bring personal connections to recent events in Israel. Avinatan Or, an NVIDIA engineer, was abducted by Hamas from the Nova music festival on October 7, 2023. He was released after 738 days in captivity. Moran Samuel, a Paralympic basketball player and world champion rower, will also attend. Both are part of the organization's wider network of alumni and supporters.
The final day, November 3, moves the program out of the conference venue. Participants will visit Israeli companies, innovation centers, and communities involved in recovery efforts. The itinerary includes volunteer opportunities alongside current Birthright participants. This segment is designed to connect global leaders directly with the initiatives the organization has supported since October 7.
Gidi Mark, Global CEO of Birthright Israel, described the summit as a natural extension of the organization's 26-year history. He stated that bringing global leaders to Israel serves as a statement of confidence in the country's future. Ethy Levy, Vice President of Global Resource Development and Partnerships, noted that the event builds on an established Business Forum involving nearly 60 Israeli companies.
