The Bank of America Winter Village opened on Tuesday, October 28, in Bryant Park, bringing a free ice skating rink to the heart of Midtown Manhattan. The park, located between 40th and 42nd Streets on Sixth Avenue, now hosts a seasonal complex that includes an outdoor market and a dining area. This marks the continuation of a tradition that has run for more than two decades, providing a winter gathering spot for residents and tourists alike.

The central feature of the venue is The Rink, which remains one of the largest ice skating surfaces in New York City. Visitors can enter the ice at no cost, a policy that distinguishes the venue from other seasonal attractions. While skating is free, the rental of skates and other services carries a separate fee. The facility operates every day, including holidays. Bank of America cardholders who use their cards to reserve skate rentals receive a 10 percent discount on the cost.

The rink also offers group classes for beginners. These sessions take place on weekday afternoons and weekend mornings. The schedule provides opportunities for new skaters to learn the basics in a structured environment before attempting independent skating.

Adjacent to the ice is The Holiday Shops by Urbanspace, an open-air market that operates from October 28, 2026, through January 3, 2027. The market features more than 180 vendors selling handmade gifts, jewelry, home decor, and gourmet food items. The shops provide a platform for small businesses and creators to sell products that differ from those found in major retail chains.

Food and beverage options are available at The Lodge, a bar and dining hall situated next to the rink. The lodge serves seasonal dishes, hot drinks, and exclusive cocktails through two full-service bars. The space allows visitors to rest and watch skaters while waiting for sessions to start or end. The combination of dining and viewing areas encourages visitors to stay for extended periods.

Family activities are scheduled for the late fall and early winter. Club Santa, a premium experience, combines skate rental, concierge service, and extra time on the ice with a private session with Santa Claus. The package also includes holiday treats and crafts in a climate-controlled Polar Lounge. Tickets for Club Santa are available for November 28 and 29, as well as December 5 and 6.

A second family activity, Santa’s Corner, will offer outdoor photo opportunities with seasonal accessories from December 14 to December 18. This event is free and does not require tickets. Photos are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, which may result in lines for visitors with children. The Winter Village website and the Instagram account @bryantparknyc list specific hours, prices, and booking details for all three locations.
